***If you are an artist and wish to make a manipulation/ drawing/ etc then sell it as a print (under 1000 copies) I allow this. If you wish to have your finished piece featured in a magazine/bookcover. I do allow this as long as you contact me first. For book covers see link [link]
My definition of commercial use is as follows: The use of one or more of my stock images used by themselves or in an un-manipulated or slightly edited state, which are used in a way that promotes/endorses a product/company or where the unedited/airbrushed/slightly edited image or images is used for profit. This includes advertisements or anything that uses my images by themselves or in an un-manipulated state. Also, I have a limit on print run for all uses of my stock. This is 1000 or more, this does not apply to most deviantartist, but if you go crazy and print more then a 1000 I do consider this commercial use.
Example: You download one of my images, print it on a t-shirt, and then sell it. That is commercial use.
For clearer details about what un-edited and slightly edited refers to click link [link]
I reserve the right to ask for compensation for use of my stock. (I normally don't, but you need to ask me first)

1) If I want to sell a photomanipulation for a book cover featuring your stock, am I or am I not allowed to do that? 2) What is the difference between standard and exclusive license?
I'm afraid not. I usually work with authors and after they describe their characters, I look through stock images to find out what works. If something comes up and I can think of the images from your gallery that I can remember at that time, I'll let you know. You had such brilliant stock. Sad for artists they don't have access to that very useful resource anymore.
Unfortunately DA is the problem. I am having trouble with the site after they changed it, and they keep telling me they are working on it but it's been months.
Unless you are interested in printing something with more then 50,000 prints. Then I just really re arranged my normal rules and added 2 or 3 lines. Nothing big. Its more so if something happens I can legally back myself up.

Yea, too late....
